Lemon, Orange & Apple Tart

(Fruit Tart): apricot jam, apples and citrus fruits


  • Biscotti Mix: the entire pack quantity
  • Butter: 1+1/2 stick (3/4 cups)
  • 1 Egg
  • Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
  • The grated peel of 1 orange and 1 lemon
  • 1 Apple
  • Apricot Jam: 7 Oz (14 tablespoons)
  • Vanilla powdered sugar


  • Preheat the oven at 350°F
  • Pour Biscotti Mix in the mixer, add softened butter and vanilla extract
  • Mix for about one minute
  • Add the whole egg and the grated orange and lemon peels
  • Work dough until it is completely combined
  • Form a ball, wrap it and let it rest in the fridge for approximately 40 minutes
  • Cut off a small piece of dough to make heart shapes (or any you like) for the top decoration -Transfer the dough between two baking paper sheets (the top one is used so that no flour is needed for the dough not to stick to the rolling pin) and roll it with a rolling pin to fit a low bordered baking tray
  • With your fingers, create 1-inch edge
  • Place the tart base in the oven and bake it for 20 minutes
  • In the meantime, cut the apple in thin slices
  • Pull the base out of the oven and add the apple slices in circle
  • Add apricot jam all over, place your small dough hearts in the center and put the tart back in the oven to complete baking for another 30 minutes at 340°F
  • Once taken out of the oven, let it cool and spread vanilla powdered sugar on top
